How to perform

  1. Lie on your side beside a bench or sturdy elevated surface
  2. Place your top ankle or lower leg on the surface
  3. Support your upper body on your forearm, elbow under shoulder
  4. Lift your hips into a straight line from head to bottom foot
  5. Let the bottom leg hang below the surface
  6. Squeeze your inner thigh and keep hips from dropping or rotating
  7. Hold for 10–20 seconds, then switch sides
  8. Start with the top knee supported if the full version feels too difficult
